What is the aim of the 24 april committee ?
Answer: the full name of the committee is: 24 april committee for the commemoration and recognition of the Armenian
genocide. So that is the aim of the committee. There are no other issues.

3. Is the Armenian genocide recognized in the Netherlands ?
On 21st December, 2004 the Lower Chamber has unanimous passed the motion of mr. Rouvoet, member of Parliament,
where he asked the Dutch Government to put the recognition of the Armenian genocide constantly and explicitly on
the agenda of the dialogue with Turkey.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs has welcomed this motion.
The national politics as well as the international experts has taken an point of view, by phrasing of this motion
and especially by using the word genocide, that de facto of the recognition of the Armenian genocide is a fact.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs has welcomed the motion on behalf of the government. This fact means that the government
as wel as the parliament agree on this matter.
4. Are there Dutch supporters too assisting the activities of the 24 april committee ?
There are plenty of them, the well - or - less - known Dutch who support the committee.
Some of the well-known Dutch from the world of politics, science and art has joined together in the ' Recommending
committee' that links up to the aim of the 24 april committee.

7. Is the 24 april committee a part of any political grouping ?
Answer: no. The 24 april committee is an organ of the Federation of Armenian Organizations in the Netherlands (
FAON ). This functions at a level of cooperation with a number of Armenian social - cultural associations and foundations
in the Netherlands.
